Under the guidance of GBAC, a division of the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA), the Tacoma Dome and Greater Tacoma Convention Center have adopted the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention, aligning with venues across North America and the world in commitment to the highest safety and cleaning standards.
Following an extremely thorough assessment of the facilities’ readiness for biorisk situations, multiple procedures and practices have been confirmed and established with GBAC’s expert-led guidance. The program certifies that the Tacoma Dome and Greater Tacoma Convention Center have demonstrated compliance with the program’s 20 core elements ranging from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment, emergency preparedness, and response measures.

The Tacoma Venues & Events team is transforming the guest and client experience including flexible booking policies, upgrades for cleaner air, food & beverage service modifications, and mobile pay parking at the Convention Center.
