There are five floors within the Convention Center – each space has been designed to take advantage of the open floor plan and flexibility. From trade shows, to sporting events and even weddings, the 50,000 square-foot column-free exhibition hall can be divided into two segments and offers generous pre-function space. The Convention Center also has ample space for additional support functions such as rehearsal areas, show office, and private dressing rooms. Our meeting and event spaces can be tailor-made to fit your set-up needs.
The Convention Center has public elevators, accessible on all five floors on the venue. All public restrooms have accessible stalls for our guests. In addition, family, unisex or single-user restrooms. Accessible parking, including van accessible parking, is available in Parking Lot A garage. Wheelchairs are also available for guests to check-out, contact the nearest Guest Services Representative to request a wheelchair.
At the Greater Tacoma Convention Center, we strive to make your experience as green and sustainable as possible in our day-to-day operations, from sourcing local foods whenever possible to using environmentally friendly cleaning products in 90% of the building. Our standard green initiatives include our Sustainability Station, recycling and composting efforts, lighting and energy controls, water saving restrooms, recycled carpet, eco-friendly water-saving landscaping, public electric vehicle charging station, and Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers.
The Convention Center provides amenities such as robust Wi-Fi system, telecom, and generous pre-function spaces, as well as additional support services like A/V and in-house catering service through our in-house partners.
The Convention Center’s modern, sleek setting includes glass-enclosed spaces with spectacular suspended staircase, views of Mt. Rainer and the Tacoma skyline. For out-of-town guests, the venue is adjacent to premium hotels with restaurants, shopping, day spas, breweries and famous museums all within walking distance.
